It makes perfect sense in cold climates like Philadelphia
to have an indoor garden room that can be enjoyed year-round. This sunroom addition features large windows that allow plenty of sunlight
in for the plants to grow and thrive and an automated drip irrigation system for instant watering and low-maintenance plants.
The floor is comprised of large slabs of blue stone that feel much like the stone used in many outdoor patios.
Drainage for the irrigation system is funneled through a channel cut into the stone along one wall. Each planter in the sunroom contains
its own hidden faucet in cabinets built into the planters from below, where an irrigation timer and hoses are also discreetly connected
and run through each of the planters. Another benefit to having an indoor garden room is that it opens up a world of tropical plants
that normally wouldn't survive in a cold climate like New York. The planters in this room contain Mexican feather grass, citrus trees, passionflower and jasmine vines, rosemary, zizi
zamias, snake plants, and bromeliads.

Indoor plants have many elements in producing happy and healthy houseplants these include pot selection, soil preparation, room conditions including humidity, light and insect control.
This on the surface would suggest that there are too many elements involved in tending to indoor plants. On the contrary it is much easier to carry out then it appears by the list of elements.
In some cases houseplants need little attention after they are settled in to their environment while others require a little more attention.
The first element that will be covered is the choosing of a pot in which to place your indoor plant. Granted all houseplants purchased normally come in a pot but maybe it is not as attractive as you would like it.
A houseplant is a plant that is grown indoors in places such as residences and offices. Houseplants are commonly grown for decorative
purposes, positive psychological effects, or health reasons such as indoor air purification. Plants used in this fashion are most
commonly, though not always, tropical or semi-tropical.

Cyclamen is a small but diverse genus of plants. Many species are hardy, generally in USDA Zones 7 and above. But Cyclamen persicum
is often seen for sale throughout the fall and winter, in less hardy zones, as a houseplant. Persicum, aptly referred to as the
Florist’s Cyclamen, has sweet scented small (˝ to 3/4 inch) flowers that are produced on long stems, held upright above the foliage.
It is a tuberous perennial with heart shaped leaves common to cyclamen You can find Florist cyclamen in shades of pink, red or white.
Even this cyclamen’s foliage is attractive, often having silver marbling on the top sides of the leaves. The entire plant, when in
flower, reaches only about 8 inches high. Florist cyclamen can be grown outside, but it is questionable it will survive if temps go
below 50 degrees F. / 10 degrees C. It is a native of the Mediterranean and North Africa. When grown outside, expect Cyclamen persicum
to bloom in late winter or early spring. Greenhouse cyclamen are usually forced into bloom sometime around the holiday season into
late winter.
